The new generation. 30% thinner design, 50% brighter HDR display. Atomos has been developing video monitoring and recording products for over a decade. The Shinobi II has been redesigned with a new, thinner body and 50% brighter display, yet offers all of Atomos' HDR display technology and professional monitoring tools. With a superb 5", 10-bit HDR/SDR display, the Shinobi II allows seamless viewing even in bright daylight. The 1500 cd/m2 brightness screen features a special anti-glare coating and a fingerprint-resistant surface.
Ideal for video recording and photography
The Shinobi II can operate all day on a single charge and offers a range of professional monitoring features including histogram, waveform, etc. The multi-purpose Analysis View tool will provide all relevant information at a glance. There is even a selfie mode for vloggers. The Shinobi II is the perfect accessory to enhance any photo or video production.
Camera control
Thanks to the USB-C interface, it's now easy to control the cameras: white balance, aperture, shutter and ISO can all be adjusted. The red edge of the display indicates when the camera is recording internally. The Shinobi II is capable of controlling most Canon, Panasonic and Sony mirrorless cameras via USB-C and all Z series CAM E2 models (optional LANC cable). Fujifilm, Nikon, OM System and Sigma cameras will be supported with future firmware updates.
Wide dynamic range, true-to-life colours
The Shinobi II display has a stunning 10+ EV dynamic range for displaying Log/PQ/HLG material. Calibration is the key to a trustworthy monitor. Shinobi II can be calibrated using the X-Rite/Calibrite probe or the Atomos Calibrator app for continuous accurate HDR and Rec.709 monitoring. Accurate monitoring ensures reliable results!
Slim and lightweight
The Shinobi is first and foremost portable, and while we've added more hardware features, we've redesigned its body and reshaped its form factor to keep its weight at just 210 grams. Lightweight and sleek, the Shinobi II is your camera/camcorder's new best friend!
Cable lock
Atomos has developed a unique and robust locking ecosystem to keep connected HDMI and USB-C cables securely attached, and the Shinobi II therefore comes with a special bracket. With Atomos locking cables (purchased separately), this is the most robust cable system available today. Shinobi II is also fully compatible with standard cables without a lock.
AtomOS system
Shinobi II runs on the AtomOS platform and features an extensive set of focus, composition and exposure tools, including focus peaking, 4:1 / 2:1 / 1:1 zoom, zebra, false color, guides, SMPTE safe area, grids, RGB display, vectorscope, 3D and 1D LUT, profile support and presets (recording . cube files via SD card) and anamorphic tracking capabilities (2x, 1.8x, 1.79x, 1.65x, 1.6x, 1.5x, 1.33x, 1.25x).
