Blackmagic Design has introduced a new product category that enables signal transmission over Ethernet in compliance with the SMPTE 2110 standard. This enables near-latency transmission of audio and video data in the TV standard over an Ethernet network. All connected devices on the network can access and use the signals fed into the network without the need for additional cables. Blackmagic Design compresses the video signal using the newly developed 2110 IP codec, enabling transmission over 10G Ethernet networks. This is ideal for use in professional production and broadcast facilities, live events and educational institutions.

Blackmagic Design has released a new ATEM Switchers 9.7 software update for all ATEM Television Studio models that adds support for downstream key tally light overrides, webcam source routing, and live editing of recorded files.
