Nikon has begun development of a new FX-series entry-level zoom lens, Nikkor Z 28-135 mm f/4 PZ for the Nikon Z bayonet. The optical design of the new zoom will be optimized for video, while the overall design of the controls emphasizes ease of use in the field for documentaries, travelogues, etc., for which its wide focal range is well suited... We don't know the release date yet. A similar lens in Nikon's current line-up is the versatile Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S, also with optimizations for video recording.
