The G2 variant of the DeckLink 8K Pro card also features an expansion card with HDMI 2.1 I/O and RS-422 output. The DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is a powerful video preview and capture card with Quad-Link 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.1 interfaces and 8K resolution support. It supports all common digital film and video standards, from SD to 8K DCI, in 12-bit, RGB 4:4:4 quality. In addition, it also supports advanced color formats including Rec. 2020 space with wide dynamic range. The card also offers 64 audio channels and processing of stereoscopic formats or high frame rate video. The DeckLink 8K Pro PCIe x8 card is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems. DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is an uncompromising solution for recording and playback of modern digital film formats. The card is equipped with four 12G-SDI interfaces and 2x HDMI 2.1 (1x input, 1x output) and therefore supports a wide range of standards, from SD and HD to Ultra HD, 4K, 8K and 8K DCI, plus it is compatible with all modern SDI and HDMI technology. The 12G-SDI interface of this model is bi-directional, so it can be used for recording or playback of 8K material in Quad-Link mode, as well as for simultaneous acquisition and playback of SDI signals in Single- or Dual-Link modes.

Perfect image quality
DeckLink 8K Pro outperforms the competition not only with support for modern formats, but also with superior image quality. 8K resolution provides 16x more pixels compared to the FHD standard, offering unprecedented possibilities when it comes to changing the composition or creating cuts from footage. In addition, DeckLink 8K Pro supports 12-bit RGB mode with 4:4:4 sampling as well as Rec. 2020 color space designed for Ultra HD video and 4K or 8K film material with wide dynamic range. The combination of higher resolutions and wide dynamic range delivers crisp, extremely high quality images for digital film editing, color grading of film material and visual effects creation at the highest level.

12-bit, RGB 4:4:4
The DeckLink 8K Pro G2 supports the capture and playback of 8 or 10-bit YUV video with 4:2:2 sampling and 12-bit RGB video with 4:4:4 sampling, respectively. Material can be recorded in both uncompressed and compressed formats to standard ProRes and DNx formats. The card supports frame rates up to 60 fps at 8K resolution and is also compatible with stereoscopic formats up to 4K DCI resolution at 60 fps frame rate in 12-bit RGB quality.

PCI Express
The DeckLink 8K Pro card is designed for the third-generation PCI Express x8 bus and offers a very compact footprint. It is compatible with workstations equipped with macOS, Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as with all SD and HD format standards, Ultra HD, DCI 4K and DCI 8K, and Rec. 601, 709 and 2020 color spaces.

DaVinci Resolve Studio
The DeckLink 8K Pro product has been designed for maximum compatibility with DaVinci Resolve Studio for editing, color correction, audio post-production and mastering of digital film up to 8K resolution. DeckLink 8K Pro also works with competing applications such as Grass Valley EDIUS, Final Cut Pro X, Media Composer, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Pro Tools, Nuke and more. Developer tools for developing custom applications within professional studios is available for free.
