The Sony XDCA-FX9 expansion is an expensive accessory due to the many additional features (16-bit RAW output, wireless audio, network functions). For Sony PXW-FX9 users who only require a plate for high-capacity Gold Mount batteries, the Core SWX brand has prepared an interesting alternative: CXA-FX9. The plate is reamed from an aluminum alloy and attaches directly to the battery slot of the Sony PXW-FX9 (secured at the top of the camera with screws). This provides a very stable platform for mounting even large Gold Mount batteries. Regulated output voltage for the camera is 19.5V=, input voltage (battery and 4pin XLR connector for easy on-the-fly battery replacement) is expected to be in the range of 11.9-16.8V=. There are also two PowerTap outputs without voltage stabilization (11.9-17V=) and a two-color LED indicator for the connected battery status. A micro USB interface is used to update the device firmware in case of future camera updates. Weight approx. 550 g.
