Datavideo DAC-8PA

Datavideo released a new DAC-8PA product, an SDI-to-HDMI converter housed in a rugged aluminum frame. The DAC-8P is Datavideo’s best-selling converter at all times. Hence, designed and built upon the DAC-8P, the DAC-8PA now includes audio I/O port which is a feature perfect for monitors without speakers or headphone jacks, allowing you to output high-quality audio for a wide range of broadcast and professional AV applications.

The DAC-8PA enables SDI to HDMI conversion with up to 1080p50/60 in resolution. It is easy to use and connects virtually all kinds of SDI and HDMI video sources. The audio is de-embedded at the SDI input and re-embedded into HDMI output or delivered separately to the analog audio output.

Most professional video productions adopt SDI workflows because SDI cables are cost-effective and easily accessible. Besides, SDI cables ensure the reliable delivery of high-resolution video over long distances for every studio. Modern cameras are equipped with one or multiple SDI outputs, which are routed to recorders, streaming encoders, and other devices via a video switcher.
