Datavideo KMU-200

The KMU-200 is an innovative new switcher design based on the award winning KMU-100.  Datavideo is transforming this new market category with the KMU-200 4K Multi-Channel Touch Screen switcher.  The KMU-200 is now an all in one device similar to our Hand Carried Studio line of switchers, it brings switching, audio mixing, recording and streaming into a portable all in one device.

Another great feature of the new KMU-200 is the ability to work as both a horizontal video switcher and  as a vertical video switcher.  Horizontal video is the current norm, but vertical video content is growing in popularity due to smart phones where most content is consumed in portrait mode.  The KMU-200 will allow you to push your vertical video productions to new limits.

4K cameras are widely available and content online doesn’t require the full 4K resolution for streamed content.  A single 4K camera can be utilized to obtain 4 cut outs or regions of interest. The KMU-200 is perfect for interview application with small panels or smaller houses of worship.  With Social distancing becoming commonplace, the KMU-200 reduces the amount of cameras needed to get your production streamed live.

Touch Screen operation for simplified tasks and tactile buttons are provide for switching.  The 14-inch touch screen allows gesture control over the live content.  The joystick and backlit buttons allow for more traditional control over the KMU-200’s screen selections.  

The six channel buttons incorporated into the lower right corner allow easy access to each region of interest, including two allocated for full screen mode and computer output.

The additional HDMI input allows the option to show an additional camera angle or to connect a computer's display-output to the KMU-200 for presentation software.

The HDMI loop out allows for production directors to have direct monitoring of the presentation input. All HDMI inputs have built-in strain relief bars to make sure nothing is left to chance during your production, by reducing the chances of cables becoming unplugged

The internal audio mixer supports four audio channels and embedded audio sources

The built-in H.264 encoder can instantly stream live to get your content online.

The KMU-200 has a built-in encoder enabling it to stream to any compatible CDN in traditional 16x9 format or 9x16 portrait mode.
