DJI technologies are integrated in the Ronin 4D into one cutting-edge and comprehensive cinematography solution that offers groundbreaking flexibility for solo videographers and unlimited possibilities for coordinated shooting. This powerful next-generation cinema camera has been designed and built to be the future of filmmaking.

Integration and modularity
DJI Ronin 4D offers a completely unique design. Its solid body is made of carbon fiber and aluminum-magnesium alloy, and combines imaging, stabilization and focusing systems, as well as wireless transmission and control. This avoids time-consuming setup and allows you to start shooting faster. Enjoy compact convenience along with extensive modular accessory options.

High performance
Ronin 4D is equipped with the Zenmuse X9, DJI's top-of-the-line full-frame camera. It also features CineCore 3.0, DJI's latest image processing system. This system uses a proprietary chip for extremely high computing power. CineCore 3.0 allows the Ronin 4D to internally record Apple ProRes RAW, ProRes 422 HQ and H.264 video. It also enables video recording at resolutions up to 8K/75 fps and 4K/120 fps!

High resolution and sensitivity
DCI 8K (8192x4320)/60 fps video preserves every detail, from rich foliage to inspiring architecture, from skin texture to hair strands. For those who need 4K output, 8K recording offers unprecedented creative possibilities with greater flexibility for cropping, compositing and stabilizing videos in post-production. The Zenmuse X9 supports dual native ISO (X9-8K: 800/4000; X9-6K: 800/5000) to capture images with excellent detail and minimal noise, whether you're shooting an evening cityscape, a beach or a scene lit by dim candlelight.

Dynamic range
With more than 14 steps of dynamic range, the Zenmuse X9 delivers natural transitions of highlights and shadows in difficult lighting conditions, such as scenes in backlight and direct sunlight. These traditionally difficult scenes can now be captured with ease and confidence.

DJI Color Science
Thanks to the DJI Cinema Color System (DCCS) and the robust computing power provided by CineCore 3.0, Zenmuse X9 can give images a cinematic look by maintaining authentic and accurate colors. It also supports the industry standard ACES workflow for seamless compatibility with the color tones of other film cameras.

Built-in ND filters
The X9 has built-in high-quality ND filters (ND 2 to ND 512, or ND 0.3 to ND 2.7) that can be switched quickly and easily thanks to an internal motorized system. These filters have also been designed to match and complement the Ronin 4D colours.

DL lenses
The standard X9 DL mount supports three compact full-frame lenses. The housings are made from lightweight carbon fibre, so each lens weighs just 180g.

Interchangeable bayonets
The X9 supports interchangeable lens bayonets, including DJI's own DL bayonet, as well as third-party bayonets such as Leica M, Sony E and others. Ultra-wide-angle lenses with high f/0.95 aperture, electronic zoom, macro and anamorphic lenses that are compatible with traditional film cameras will also work on the X9, providing flexibility in lens selection.

Wireless control
Whether you're using manual or autofocus lenses, you can achieve wireless lens control and even autofocus with the dedicated modules mounted on the X9.

Four-axis stabilization
The DJI Ronin 4D adds a Z-axis to the traditional three-axis gimbal, effectively reducing vertical camera shake and offering high stabilization performance. The four axes work in conjunction with the downward-facing ToF sensor, front and bottom dual visual sensors, built-in IMU, barometer and an advanced new algorithm, to take stabilization to a whole new level.

ActiveTrack Pro
DJI's patented computer vision, deep learning technology, and robust CineCore 3.0 computing power come together in ActiveTrack Pro, enabling maximum quality tracking shots. This technology also enables tracking objects from a greater distance and offers composition adjustment with continuous autofocus to keep objects in focus during tracking shots.

LiDAR Waveform
DJI Ronin 4D makes manual focusing easier than ever before. Focus assist technology displays distance points on the main and remote monitors in a simplified top-down view. This provides an innovative and intuitive LiDAR Waveform to quickly locate focus points and allow focus adjustments with extreme precision. Even users with little or no experience can quickly learn manual focusing.

LiDAR range measurement
The LiDAR rangefinder can send up to 43200 points at a range of 10 meters. Compared to phase detection autofocus (PDAF), the Ronin 4D's LiDAR focusing system can focus faster without compromising image quality or relying on the surface texture of the subject. This is particularly useful in low-light environments and provides exceptional focusing capabilities compared to other cameras.

Autofocus
With the new LiDAR focusing system, Ronin 4D is able to maintain focus even when there is severe motion blur caused by fast moving objects. With the focus motor installed, autofocus is also available with manual lenses. Continuous autofocusing on subjects can be activated together with ActiveTrack Pro, which is particularly convenient for independent users.

Manual autofocus
Auto Manual Focus (AMF) mode gives you the precision and flexibility of manual focusing with the convenience of autofocus. The focus wheel will synchronously rotate as the focus point changes, but the cameraman can take manual control at any point. The focus wheel on the right handle even has dynamic damping with electromagnetic technology. This will give cinematographers a physical feel for changing focus and provide a more intuitive and advanced focusing experience that is second to none.

Video transmission
The Ronin 4D uses DJI's all-new O3 Pro Video Transmission technology, offering a transmission range of approximately 6km that would be unimaginable with traditional solutions. In addition to 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz, it supports the DFS frequency band and the 256-bit AES encryption algorithm, which can transmit a FHD 1080p/60 fps signal to multiple remote monitors simultaneously, with greatly improved security, stability and anti-jamming capabilities.

Integrated design
the 4D Video Transmitter can be directly mounted on the Ronin 4D and powered by the main body battery. Featuring a built-in wireless video receiver, the 7" remote monitor has a 1500 nits high brightness, high color gamut touchscreen display that can transmit both HDMI and SDI signals via an expansion module. Its compact and lightweight body provides optimal portability and efficient setup so users can start shooting immediately.

Coordinated shooting
The remote high-brightness monitor supports a single transmitter with multiple receivers for video and audio. Two transmission modes are available. The first is Broadcast mode, which imposes no limit on the number of receivers and is suitable for monitoring with large crews. The second is Control mode, which supports coordinated operation of two receivers.

The remote high brightness monitor can be connected to Ronin 4D handhelds, DJI Master Wheels, DJI Force Pro or the new DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus. This allows for high-precision remote control of focus and gimbal movements, starting and stopping recording, and adjusting camera settings to meet the highest standards of coordinated filming. In addition, thanks to the built-in gyro sensor, the monitor can turn into a remote control for Ronin 4D gimbal movement.

Mirrored control interface
Mirror Control Mode provides the remote monitor with an identical control interface to the main monitor, including all advanced features such as source playback, video specifications and gimbal settings that can be remotely adjusted even when the Ronin 4D is mounted on extension platforms such as a crane, cable car or vehicle mount.

Independent recording and playback
The high brightness remote monitor has a built-in microSD card slot that supports independent video recording at up to 1080p/60 fps. When using multiple linked remote monitors, each monitor can play back material independently without disturbing the other monitors.

Storage
Ronin 4D has a built-in CFexpress Type B slot along with a USB 3.1 Type-C expansion port for recording directly to an external drive. It also offers the highest specification internal video recording with the DJI PROSSD 1TB, which can be directly connected to a computer with a USB-C cable for media access without a traditional SSD reader. These storage options also provide a cost-effective solution for those who want an unbeatable combination of performance and stability.

Audio recording
Ronin 4D features built-in microphones that support dual-channel 24-bit audio recording. It also provides 3.5mm jack and XLR microphone ports for additional audio equipment.

Battery life
Like the Ronin 2 and Inspire 2, the DJI Ronin 4D uses TB50 smart batteries that offer up to 2.5 hours of shooting time and can be fully charged in just 1.5 hours. Auto warm-up is also supported to ensure reliable functionality in extremely cold conditions.
