FieldCast Fiber Node One (local control station for 4 PTZ cameras)

The Fiber Node One from FieldCast allows you to conveniently switch, monitor, and control up to four PTZ cameras using fiber optic cables. It shares similar functionality to the Fiber Dock One but includes an additional feature.

With its four hybrid fiber inputs, the Fiber Node One enables seamless connection of up to four PTZ Monk fiber connectors. This setup provides control, power distribution, and monitoring capabilities for up to four 3G-SDI PTZ cameras.

What sets the Fiber Node One apart is its SMPTE connector, specifically designed for 311M/304 fiber optic cable. This connector allows the node to draw power from a Fiber Base One, enabling both the node itself and the connected cameras to be powered over the same fiber optic connection without the need for local power sources.

In terms of connectivity, the Fiber Node One offers four hybrid fiber inputs and four 3G-SDI outputs, allowing for easy monitoring and switching of camera signals. It also includes a LAN Ethernet port for network connectivity, facilitating remote control and management of the cameras. Additionally, the node features a 4-pin XLR power port for use with an optional IP controller.

Similar to the Fiber Dock One, the fiber connectors integrated into the Fiber Node One provide 24 VDC to the PTZ Monk units (available separately). The PTZ Monk units then convert this power to provide 12 VDC to each camera via the power outputs on the Monk units. Moreover, the Fiber Node One includes a local power input that, along with the SMPTE connector, can be used for redundant power, adding an extra layer of reliability.
