Twins

Two identical shutter release buttons. One on the side for landscape shots and one on the front for portrait shots. Both are designed to be easy to manipulate regardless of the aspect ratio of the photos you want to take.

Tripod ready

In addition to the tripod thread, the INSTAX MINI 99 also comes with a precision-machined tripod attachment that doubles as a handy handle when detached.

Focus on your journey

Turn the lens dial to turn the camera on. Set it to Landscape mode when you want to shoot from a distance, Macro mode for stunning detail or Standard mode for anything in between.

6 colour effects

With INSTAX MINI 99, you can let the colours do the talking. Rotate the colour effects dial to get six stunning analogue colour effects (all made up of colour-changing LEDs located in the four corners inside the camera). Don't want to use a colour effect? No problem, just turn the dial to normal mode.

Five brightness levels

Low or high brightness shots? Choose L+ for the lightest exposure, and D- for the darkest. If you're looking for standard brightness levels, you'll also find L and D and N options.

Depth of field

Use the manual vignetting switch to darken the edges of your photo to draw attention to the centre. Turn it on and the lens aperture narrows for an impressive artistic look. Turn it off and you'll capture all the available light for a more natural shot.

In action

Have as much fun in front of the camera as behind it by switching the lens to Macro mode (ideal for taking selfies). Experience the thrill of the INSTAX MINI 99 as the photo emerges from the camera and develops before your eyes to reveal the perfect (self-)portrait.

Shine a light on your journey

The INSTAX MINI 99 lets you choose the flash function you want: fill-in compensation flash, red-eye removal, auto flash or off flash. Selecting them is simple and cleverly changes the tone of the image to bring out the overall creative expression.

Modes that match the moment

Every photo has its own meaning thanks to the right choice of shooting mode. Not only can you easily switch between them, but they also help capture photos in their true, analogue format.
  • Auto mode
    During normal shooting, the flash and shutter speed adjust accordingly to capture the perfect level of brightness.
  • Interior mode
    Bring light into dark interior shots with Interior mode; beautifully capturing the subject and background in harmonious focus.
  • Sports mode
    When you want to eliminate blur when shooting subjects that "won't stand still for two seconds" such as children, animals and athletes, choose Sports Mode.
  • Double exposure mode
    Take two separate photos and combine them into one. Ideal for telling a story in a creative, exciting yet abstract way.
  • Long exposure mode
    In this mode, you can capture attractive light streaks and night views. By holding the shutter open for up to 10 seconds, night shots can be brought to life with light.

Self-timer

Press the shutter button, get into the shot (you have about 10 seconds) and "click", the photo is done. With INSTAX MINI 99, no one will be left standing by.
