INSTAX WIDE 400 is the latest version of the popular WIDE format analogue instant camera that' s twice as wide as Instax MINI film, so you can explore everything wide-angle. It has a new design, easy operation, an improved viewfinder, self-timer lever and multiple shooting modes. It's perfect for group shots at weddings and parties, landscapes and beautiful scenery. With a built-in self-timer dial and camera angle adjustment accessory, your photos will be a breeze even without a tripod.
As for the new look, Japanese manufacturer FUJIFILM has given the Instax WIDE 400 a rounder, rougher look with a modern twist. The WIDE 400 comes in a fresh, subtle green colour that makes this instant camera look even more impressive. The camera itself measures 162 x 98 x 123mm, making it Fujifilm's largest instant camera, but it's relatively lightweight at just 616g.
For the ultimate analogue shooting experience, there is a separate self-timer lever on the front of the camera. By turning the dial you can set the self-timer function to four, six, eight or ten seconds, indicated by progressively illuminated LEDs. When the shutter button is pressed, the countdown begins and the LEDs gradually turn off. The self-timer is practical not only for group shots, but also for taking selfies and when using the camera on a tripod. You won't always need a tripod, however, as another new feature is a strap with two adjustable feet. These feet slide under the camera into a customized space and allow you to adjust two camera heights for the optimal shooting angle.
The Instax WIDE 400 retains many of the features of its predecessor, such as the extendable lens with a fixed focal length of 95mm and the macro attachment for macro photography from 40-50cm from the subject. Also, switching between Normal and Landscape focus modes, which is suitable for capturing scenes at distances longer than 3 metres, is done by rotating the lens as before.
An improved optical viewfinder with 0.37x magnification displays the boundary lines for normal and landscape shots and the target point for close-up shots. Both lines are designed to make it easy to achieve perfect composition when taking a picture from the viewfinder.
The WIDE 400 is equipped with auto exposure and flash control, so there is no need to set or adjust any controls. Just point and click. You'll get a great shot every time.
