Optical performance for precise sensing
The integrated lens offers a powerful 24x optical zoom ranging from 25mm wide-angle to 600mm telephoto. The camcorder achieves 32× zoom in 4K mode and 48× zoom in FHD mode. The 4-Drive Lens System allows four lens groups to move independently, achieving 24× optical zoom while maintaining a compact camera body.
Two Manual Rings allow for precise adjustment - one for focusing and the other for zoom or aperture control. Manual Rings come in different sizes, allowing for easy identification and precise fingertip control. The ND filters can be selected between 1/4, 1/16, 1/64 and clear glass, with the glass construction serving as protection against damage from solar condensation.
IP video for smooth streaming
The higher-end AG-CX20 and AG-CX18 models support live FHD streaming over Wi-Fi and Ethernet. In terms of connectivity, the camera features 3G-SDI output and allows simultaneous output via HDMI.
High-speed and accurate autofocus with face detection AF/AE
Thanks to AF/AE face detection and precise focus lens drive, excellent speed, stability and focus tracking is achieved in both 4K and Full HD. Face Detection AF/AE ensures accurate focus and optimal exposure for subjects. In addition, subject tracking can be activated by simply touching the LCD panel, allowing for precise motion tracking.
5-axis HYBRID O.I.S. hybrid image stabilization for stable recording
In addition to optical image stabilization (OIS), this model also uses electronic stabilization to detect and correct camera shake in five axes, including rotational blur. This system provides effective correction in unstable conditions, such as when shooting from low or high angles. The Ball O.I.S. system reduces friction in the stabilisation drive, allowing fine corrections even with minimal shake. The result is sharp and stable images even when using the 24× optical zoom.
High-quality recording with flexible modes
The camcorder supports a wide range of data streams and formats for professional use. It allows internal recording in 4:2:2 10bit with a maximum of 29.97 fps in UHD and up to 59.94 fps in Full HD. When set to 10bit recording, the camera offers 4K 60p 4:2:2 10bit output via HDMI, enabling high quality capture with an external recorder. High Efficiency HEVC (LongGOP/10bit 4:2:0/MOV) recording for UHD 59.94p at a high bitrate of 200 Mbps is also supported.
