Panasonic AU-XPD1 ExpressP2 Drive

An external drive for ExpressP2 and P2 solid-state recording media. The new ExpressP2 cards are designed to accommodate high frame rate 1080 HD AVC-ULTRA recording (above 60 fps) as well as 4K capture. The drive connects to Mac OS X or Windows-based computers via a USB 3.0 Type B interface and enable fast offload of material from the cards at speeds up to 2.4 Gbps. To be available in fall 2014.

The expressP2 card drive (AU-XPD1) will facilitate the fast offload of material from the expressP2 card at speeds up to 2.4 Gbps. The expressP2 card drive incorporates one card slot compatible with both expressP2 and standard P2 cards. A USB 3.0 (Type B) interface promotes compatibility with all windows 8.1, 8 and 7, and Mac OS X 10.7, 10.8 and 10.9-enabled devices or newer. The expressP2 drive also offers a secure Content Protection System.

The expressP2 cards share the robust legacy of Panasonic's P2 media, which all use high-quality solid-state memory and extremely durable construction. Additionally, P2 cards facilitate dependable performance during recording in all types of environments, as well as instant access and complete data compatibility in all P2 camera/recorders and workflow.
