LUMIX S9: A stylish notebook for content creators on the go
A large 24.2MP Full-Frame sensor, the same as the Lumix S5M2, and the latest image processor produce images with rich detail and natural tones. In addition, the device is equipped with PDAF (Phase Shift Auto Focus) technology, with support for advanced subject recognition and tracking. Advanced Active I.S. image stabilization significantly reduces blur caused by hand shake or shooting while walking or running, giving the confidence of sharp images in any situation.

The LUMIX S9 also allows filmmakers to easily apply a range of colour filters directly in-camera using the Real-Time LUT function newly personified by a dedicated "LUT" button on the camera body. In addition, the new LUMIX Lab app makes it easy to create your own unique LUT filters right on your smartphone. This allows users to effortlessly create original and shareable photos and videos without the need for post-production editing on a computer, expanding creative possibilities. With the new app, the speed of data transfer from camera to phone has also increased.

For seamless transfer of high-quality videos, the LUMIX S9 brings a new "MP4 Lite" recording format (up to 50 Mbps, max. 3.8K 30p 4:2:0 10-bit). Capturing video from the entire sensor area in "Open Gate" 3840x2560 (3:2), 4:2:0, 10-bit, 30p/25p mode will allow filmmakers to produce high-quality videos with an aspect ratio suitable for social networking and mobile devices, as well as the ability to perform significant cropping and digital zooming while maintaining high image quality. Files produced are up to 41% smaller for up to 1.7x faster transfer speeds compared to MP4 data on other LUMIX S Series models.

New LUMIX Lab app for easy editing and sharing
High-speed transfer of photos and videos from camera to phone allows users to easily create original LUT filters and transfer them from phone to camera and vice versa. Color LUT filters from popular creators can also be downloaded and used from the app. Quick and easy editing of MP4 Lite video files optimized for social sharing.

Real-Time LUT filters
LUT filters can be freely edited and uploaded to cameras and use the LUT button on the camera body to directly select filters. Options have also been added to adjust filter opacity and film grain simulation effect. The LUT filter and "Photo Style" can also be combined at the same time.
