The lens has fast and accurate autofocusing, impresses with smooth exposure changes, beautiful image rendition even beyond depth of field, and is designed for both still photography and video recording. Thanks to its unified design, it has the same 67mm filter diameter and has similar dimensions to the LUMIX S fixed focal length f/1.8 and 100mm macro lens series, making it very attractive for camera stabilizer users. The lens is also dust- and splash-proof and remains fully functional even in low temperatures down to -10°C Celsius.
