You don't have to be an expert to get professional results. VideoMic GO II does all the hard work for you. Its high directivity mechanical design is based on the VideoMic NTG and provides a rich, full sound that's ideal for a wide range of recording situations. It is a highly directional microphone that emphasizes on-axis sounds and suppresses ambient sounds and noise. So you have precise sound of what your camera, smartphone, camera is pointing at (what's in the picture) and ambient noise (out of the picture) is suppressed.

The VideoMic GO II weighs just 33 grams and is compact and light enough to take with you anywhere. It's ideal for use with compact cameras, mobile recording devices, or on a desktop computer as a USB microphone to record high-quality audio anywhere. shockmount HELIX™ - anti-shake basket
HELIX™ is a new anti-shake basket developed by the RØDE team specifically for the VideoMic GO II camcorder. Thanks to its innovative design, it provides excellent protection against shocks, jolts and common handling that can result in annoying rumbling and handling noise in recordings. Compared to other models, it also takes up less space, making your video set both sleek and functional. The Shockmount includes an attachment for both camera and camcorder, a thread for shoulder mounting, and features handy cable management holes.

LED overexposure light
Next to the USB-C connector, you'll find a red LED light that indicates a strong signal. The latter could already cause audio distortion. Should you see the LED light flashing or even glowing, you need to activate the Pad function via the RØDE Central app.

Note: The LED light is only active when connected via USB-C.
