The SmallRig RC 220B Pro and RC 220D Pro were designed as advanced lighting solutions that meet the high demands of professional creatives. The new "Pro" versions build on the successful RC 220B and RC 220D models and deliver improved lumen stability, higher light output and precise color rendering. These lights are ideal for professional use in photography and video production, where accurate colour rendering matters even under varying light temperatures and intensity levels. The RC 220B Pro variant offers a colour temperature range of 2700-6500K.
Both models use high intensity COB LED technology to provide exceptionally intense and even light. With CRI values of 96+ and TLCI 97+, they offer natural colours and high stability (+/- 0.0015 DUV) without significant changes over long periods of use. The RC 220B Pro and RC 220D Pro are adapted for use in harsh environments where reliability and consistent output are required.
Remote control for maximum flexibility
The RC 220 Pro series offers intuitive remote control via the SmallGoGo app, available for both iOS and Android. Using Bluetooth connectivity, you can easily adjust light intensity, colour temperature (on the RC 220B Pro) or choose from preset lighting effects such as flash, candle or TV. This feature allows for quick and precise lighting adjustments without having to manipulate the device directly - ideal for scenes where adjustments need to be made from a distance. For those who prefer a HW control panel, the optional SmallRig 3980 remote is available, or the DMX protocol can be used with the optional SmallRig 4390 adapter.
Power for every situation
The RC 220 Pro series also offers a variety of power options including the included AC adapter, which provides stable power when powered from the mains, making it ideal for studio conditions and indoor filming. For outdoor filming where access to mains power may be limited, the lights support power via V-Mount batteries (max. 150W) or NP-F (with the appropriate adapter, sold separately, max. 60W). This allows full mobility and easy operation in locations away from power without compromising light intensity or power stability. Additionally, power bank power can be used, providing an extra level of flexibility and making it easier to work in unpredictable conditions.
Modular design
Both models feature a modular and compact design that is optimized for easy portability and customization. The lightweight design (1.56 kg) with an intuitive user interface allows for quick setup and integration into different types of production setups. The modular design allows the addition of optional accessories such as different types of diffusers, converters or softboxes, expanding the possibilities of using the lights for a variety of creative projects. Thanks to the standard Bowens mount, accessory compatibility is very broad, providing the ability to deploy a variety of light modifiers without having to invest in entirely new elements.
