Sony ILX-LR1

The Sony ILX-LR1 is a professional interchangeable lens camera designed specifically for industrial applications, offering a 61MP full-frame sensor with high resolution, low noise and wide dynamic range, as well as an E-mount bayonet and a lightweight (243g), compact (100 x 74 x 42.5mm) body for easy drone shooting. On sale from 11/12 2023.

Thanks to its size and features, the ILX-LR1 can be used for applications such as utilities, green energy, telecommunications, transportation, construction and terrain mapping. The "box-style" camera has threads for M3 screws (and 1/4-20 UNC thread on the bottom) on all sides, offering a wide range of mounting options for drones and other equipment. In addition, it has USB Type-C and HDMI Micro (Type-D) interfaces located on the back of the camera, further facilitating installation within the rig.

Sony Camera Remote SDK developer tools are also available for remote access to camera functions and control of the device from custom software applications. Applications can also link unique image IDs to drone location data during post-processing. Images can be captured using a trigger signal to minimize latency. The ILX-LR1 power and control terminal allows low-latency data communication for remote applications that require immediate response, as well as a terminal for connecting external 10-18V= power supplies including batteries.
