Sony PXW-Z150

The compact, professional 4K PXW-Z150 camera has a range of advanced features, including integrated streaming and wireless remote control over Wi-Fi networks. Highlights of this new model include ease of use and excellent image quality thanks to an innovative 1" layered CMOS chip, HFR mode with up to 120 fps HD frame rate, high quality 12x zoom and very long battery life.

Revolutionary Exmor RS Sensor
The new layered 1" CMOS sensor allows for incomparably higher performance and image quality compared to the previous generation of compact camcorders. Developed for professional deployment, the sensor offers twice the readout speed compared to traditional sensors -- allowing HD video to be recorded at up to 120 fps or 4K at up to 30p, without interpolation. The Z150's composite chip offers 20 megapixels of resolution (14.2 million effective pixels) and produces less noise and sharper images, even in dark scenes with 1.7 lux lighting (in "LOW LUX" mode). Thanks to the large sensor area, the image has a lower depth of field and a beautiful bokeh effect.

4K and Full HD video recording
The Z150 records broadcast-quality 4K and FHD video to the powerful XAVC Long GOP codec with bitrates up to 100 Mbps. Thanks to the high bitrate and gentle compression, the camera produces fantastic 4K images with high levels of detail and low noise. The device also supports PAL and NTSC standards (switchable).

Slow motion recording
The "High Frame Rate" mode turns every action into a beautiful ballet figure! Recording at 120 fps in Full HD mode slows down the action up to five times without compromising image quality. In slow-motion mode, there is no sacrifice of bit depth or crop factor.

Sony G Transfocator
A high-quality 12x wide-angle optical zoom (29-348mm) captures everything -- from wide landscape shots to close-ups, all with high sharpness and sharp detail. The lens perfectly complements the Z150's powerful 1" sensor, offering crisp, clear images throughout, from the center of the image to the edges. Get closer to the action with Clear Image Zoom / By Pixel Super Resolution Technology to digitally extend the zoom to up to 18x (4K QFHD) or 24x in HD while maintaining high image quality.

Flexible interfaces including 3G-SDI
With the Z150, you don't have to deal with adapters and reducers!Built-in interfaces include 3G-SDI, HDMI, Multi/Micro USB, XLR with switchable level and 48V phantom power for condenser microphones, remote control jack (stereo mini-mini jack 2.5mm) or composite outputs (RCA, 1.0Vp-p, 75 ?).

The PXW-Z150 is the latest addition to the Sony XDCAM family. It is a lightweight, compact and easy-to-use professional camera with wireless capabilities and 4K video recording (3840x2160 resolution with frame rates up to 30p). The large 1" Exmor RS CMOS sensor allows you to record high quality video up to 4K resolution, and in Full HD mode it can record at up to 120 fps! Thanks to the sensor's fast readout, motion artifacts and moiré are minimized -- the image is clearer, with high resolution and shallow depth of field, with natural color rendition and transitions.

Network Features
The Z150 is equipped with a range of network features to enhance your mobility! The camera supports FTP servers and can stream with integrated Wi-Fi support. QoS technology (to be implemented in an upcoming firmware release) will further improve wireless network support and overcome bottlenecks for lower quality connections. The PXW-Z150 can be remotely controlled via phone or tablet, including the ability to adjust focus, zoom, aperture, white balance or start/stop recording. The Sony Content Browser Mobile app is available for both iOS and Android.

Perfect preview and recording
The camera features a high contrast OLED viewfinder (0.39") with 1440k dots with low latency for maximum feedback. There is also a flip-up 3.5" LCD display with 1550k pixels.Theunit features two SDXC and SDHC card slots with RELAY (continuous recording to the second card when the first card is full) and SIMUL (simultaneous recording to both cards simultaneously for increased operational security and backup) recording modes

Multi-Interface Shoe
The Sony Z150 also offers a flexible Multi-Interface (MI) Shoe for accessories. This provides power, signal path and on/off switching for compatible Sony accessories. This way, for example, you can conveniently control optional wireless microphone sets (UWP-D11 or UWP-D12) or connect an optional HVL-LBPC headlight.
