The Sony SMAD-P3D is an adapter that allows you to wirelessly connect and power the Sony URX-P03D 2-channel audio receiver directly from the camera. You do not need any cables or batteries in the receiver for such a connection. The device takes power via the SMAD-P3D adapter directly from the camera/camcorder. The UWP-D series wireless receiver can be connected to cameras or to devices with interchangeable optics that are equipped with the MI shoe adapter SMAD-P3D
. With this connection, the need for a wired connection is eliminated. Using the MI shoe adapter, you can distribute the audio signal from the wireless receiver directly to the camera. In addition, you can power the receiver via the adapter directly from the camera, thus switching your wireless system on or off together with the camera.
