The new Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS is a very powerful wide-angle zoom lens suitable for photography (Sony A7 etc.) and video recording despite its small size and weight. The lens optics consist of 12 elements in 10 groups including five aspherical lenses, one AA (Advanced Aspherical) element and three ED elements. The design and perfect workmanship guarantee excellent optical performance throughout, high sharpness, low distortion and minimal aberration

As is customary with ZEISS high-end lenses, the Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F4 ZA OSS features a T* lens coating to minimize optical defects and provide higher contrast, improved legibility and image depth, especially in shots with strong backlighting. The f/4 aperture throughout the range then allows rendering scenes with shallow depth of field with highly aesthetic background blur. The lens is also equipped with Optical SteadyShot™ stabilization and is resistant to both moisture and dust, making it suitable for use in harsh outdoor conditions
