Sony VG-C4EM Battery Grip

Original battery grip for Sony A7S III / A9 II / A7R IV digital cameras
TheVG-C4EM offers almost identical controls as the camera body. The placement, size and shape of the buttons have been optimized and the buttons are made of the same material as those on the A9 II and A7R IV camera bodies. When the camera is held vertically, the grip controls simulate the functionality, placement and operation of the controls on the camera body.

Reliable dust and moisture resistance
The camera grip is covered with the same sealing material as the camera body to protect against dust and moisture. This increases the overall reliability of the camera system

Firm and secure grip
The clever design of the grip allows the camera to be held firmly. The vertical grip makes it easier and more comfortable to take photos whether you hold the camera horizontally or vertically, allowing you to focus fully on the subject and composition.

Double the effective operating time
Up to two NP-FZ100 batteries can be inserted into the VG-C4EM handgrip. When using two batteries, camera operation is twice as long as when using a single battery. The remaining battery capacity is displayed on the LCD screen in percentages of 1%. The camera switches to the other battery when one battery runs out, ensuring continuous operation.

Rechargeable batteries or USB power supply
The batteries in the vertical mount can be recharged via the camera's USB port, even when it is connected to the camera. For longer shooting sessions, the camera can be powered directly via its USB port1 using a portable battery or AC adapter at the same time as battery power.

Lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy body
The exterior of the VG-C4EM handgrip is made from the same magnesium alloy that the A9 II and A7R IV camera bodies are made from, to make it as durable as the cameras themselves while maintaining minimal overall weight and size.
