All of Tamron's technical know-how in all-in-one zoom lenses has been concentrated in this 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD. The lens has a large maximum aperture of F2.8 at 28mm, a world first for all-in-one zoom lenses, and delivers high-level performance from 28mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto. Although the lens covers a wide range of focal lengths, it is lightweight and compact. Tamron has taken an uncompromising approach to optical performance, making extensive use of special optical elements - including LD and XLD - to significantly suppress chromatic aberration, enabling high image quality from edge-to-edge. This innovative versatile zoom lens vividly captures virtually any scene imaginable, from landscape photography to portraits and snapshots.

Main advantages
Di III - Mirrorless systems
These lenses are designed exclusively for mirrorless cameras (aka mirrorless cameras) and cannot be used with digital SLRs.
RXD autofocus
RXD (Rapid eXtra Silent Drive) technology is based on a stepper motor whose drive element precisely and silently controls the angle of rotation; the sensor continuously determines the current focus setting of the lens. The RXD motor is so powerful that even videographers can continuously keep moving subjects in focus.
MR - Splash Protection
Tamron lenses have a weatherproof housing that optimally protects sensitive interiors from wind and weather. The robust outer shell is effectively sealed against moisture ingress at all critical points (e.g. between the focus ring and the bayonet connection). This ensures reliable operation even in the most adverse outdoor shooting conditions.
Special XLD optical elements
Similar to LD, prevents chromatic aberration and other defects. XLD, however, is a much more sophisticated system that is mostly used in telescopes.
Special LD optical elements
Colour defect is a common defect in optics, manifesting itself in many ways. We often talk about so-called chromatic aberration, which is more common in wide-angle lenses. LD elements are made of special optical glasses with extremely low light scattering, which effectively compensate for the colour defect, especially noticeable when using telephoto lenses in the extreme position.
IF - Internal Focusing
With internal focusing lenses, the length of the lens does not change as the focusing process proceeds and the filter ring does not rotate with it. This makes it easier to handle, especially with longer telephoto lenses, and to shoot with polarizing and graduated filters. Other advantages include a shorter focusing distance over the entire focus area and less light loss at the corners of the image (vignetting) and less focus-related aberrations.
Anti-reflective and high-tech layers - FLR
Fluoride coating permanently protects the front lens from contamination. Oil and water droplets do not adhere to the surface, which is therefore very easy to clean.
ASL - Aspherical lenses
Theabbreviation "ASL" (ASpherical Lens) stands for hybrid aspherical lens elements. They correct typical zoom lens aberrations such as spherical aberrations (sharpness errors). In addition, several other optical elements can be interchanged, allowing for a more compact design and consistently high image quality.
ZL - Zoom lock
ZOOM LOCK allows you to lock at any focal length.
