Weighing just 665g and measuring 15cm in length, it offers a very wide 50-300mm focal length range, excellent image quality, a fast and quiet linear AF motor, Tamron VC (Vibration Compensation) stabilisation and a Zoom Lock switch. At a focal length of 50mm, it achieves a minimum focusing distance of 0.22m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 for excellent close-up performance. On sale in the second half of 6/2024.
The Tamron 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3mm VC VXD (A069) delivers a great 50mm at the wide end of the focal range. Although it reaches up to 300 mm at the other end of the range, it has an extremely compact size of just 150 mm and a class-leading weight of 665 g. In addition, the arrangement of the lens' special optical elements effectively controls aberrations and ensures high image quality throughout the zoom range. The lens is equipped with a VXD linear motor focusing mechanism that ensures quiet and nimble autofocus operation, while the VC image stabilization mechanism provides powerful support for all aspects of shooting. At the 50mm wide end, the lens achieves a minimum focusing distance from the subject of 0.22m and an excellent maximum magnification ratio of 1:2. This ensures excellent close-up performance, allowing users to fully enjoy the world of semi-macro photography. The 67mm filter size is common to many Tamron lenses for added convenience when carrying multiple lenses. The lens also features moisture resistant (MR) construction, a fluorine protective coating, a sophisticated optical design (19 elements in 14 groups including XLD, ASL and LD elements) and a connector for special Tamron Lens Utility software.
