The compact (126.5mm long for the E variant, 128.5mm for the Z), medium telephoto, 1:1 macro lens inherits the superb draftsmanship of its famous predecessor and delivers powerful, accurate autofocus, a 12-blade aperture for beautiful bokeh, moisture-resistant construction and compatibility with Tamron Lens Utility. The Tamron 90mm f/2.8 Macro lens for Sony FE/Nikon Z full-frame mirrorless cameras boasts high optical resolution and beautiful bokeh, offering excellent sharpness from centre to edge. The lens features 15 elements in 12 groups, including four LD elements that correct spherical and chromatic aberration. The BBAR-G2 surface treatment minimizes ghosting and flare and ensures clear details even in backlight. In addition, its exceptional flat-field correction makes it ideal for photographing flat objects such as documents, providing edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion. This lens excels in macro, landscape and portrait photography, offering unique photographic expression across genres.

The lens features a circular 12-blade aperture that provides perfectly circular bokeh and minimal vignetting, especially in the macro range, and dramatic effects with point light sources. With a maximum diameter of 79.2 mm, the lens fits comfortably in the palm of the hand and is easy to hold. It also has a light weight of ~640g, making it comfortable to carry for long periods of time. The lens comes with a sun hood with a new design. The lens hood with a sliding window for easy filter application allows users to rotate filters without removing the lens hood. This ensures precise control and smooth operation.
