Designed for filmmakers using DSLR and mirrorless cameras, this compact and lightweight matte box (weighing only 140g or 4.9oz) provides essential lens protection while preventing unwanted light flares with its adjustable top flag.

The Mini Matte Box clamps directly onto lenses with an 85mm or smaller diameter via filter thread adapters, making it incredibly versatile. It supports a single 4x5.65 filter and allows for stackable circular filters, providing additional creative options for your shots.

A 15mm rod adapter is included for lens support, stabilizing heavier lenses and enhancing stability (note: does not support lenses with a telescoping front element). With multiple mounting points, including 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 screw holes and cold shoe mounts, you can easily attach accessories such as small LED lights or microphones to optimize your shooting setup.

This kit comes complete with the Mini Matte Box, an adjustable top french flag, a 15mm single rod support attachment, and four lens adapter rings (82mm, 77mm, 67mm, and 72mm). Additional adapter rings in non-standard sizes (52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 85mm) and cine version adapter rings (80mm and 85mm) are also available for greater versatility.

For optimal performance and to prevent vignetting, we recommend using focal lengths above 24mm for S35 and 35mm for full-frame setups.
