Tiltaing Pocket V-Mount Battery Plate

The Tiltaing Pocket V-Mount Battery Plate is the smallest way to hang a V-Mount battery on a compact rig. The plate measures just 54 × 74 mm — barely more than the V-Lock on the battery itself — and weighs 71 g, so it stays within the payload of most gimbals. It is purely mechanical: no power outputs, just the plate, a safety catch against the battery dropping out and threads on both faces.

The Tiltaing Pocket V-Mount Battery Plate came from a simple idea: if the plate is only slightly larger than the V-Lock on the battery itself, it takes up no extra room on the rig. The smaller of Tilta’s two plates measures 54 × 74 mm and weighs 71 g.

Barely larger than the V-Lock itself

The plate measures 54 × 74 mm. The battery never leaves the silhouette of the rig and gets in the way neither while walking nor handheld. The 71 g barely registers against a gimbal payload limit.

Threads on both faces and around the edge

The front carries four 1/4"-20 threads; the back eight 1/4"-20, one 3/8"-16 with locating points and four M4; the side adds four more M4. The plate can therefore be bolted almost anywhere.

A catch against the battery dropping out

The V-Lock has a safety release that stops the battery sliding off or twisting when the rig is turned over or a cable catches on it.

Adapters for rods and for a gimbal ring

A 15 mm LWS rod adapter and an adapter for 25 or 30 mm gimbal rings are sold for this plate. Both are optional and not part of the basic package.

Note: the plate is mechanical only

There are no power connectors on the plate. The camera and accessories are fed by a P-Tap cable run straight off the battery.
