The new ZEISS Lightweight LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-3.9 T* is a zoom lens that meets the requirements of professional cinematographers, has a light weight, a compact design and high optical performance. The ZEISS LWZ.3 is equipped with an easy-to-operate, interchangeable mount system. It enables you to switch quickly from a typical cine-style PL-mount to four other mounts (Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, MFT).
About two kilos, outstanding optical quality, long focus rotation angle, high quality materials – these properties characterize the newest cine lens for the Super 35 format from ZEISS: the ZEISS Lightweight Zoom LWZ.3 21-100mm/T2.9-3.9 T* (ZEISS LWZ.3). The new cine zoom is well-suited for sophisticated film shoots for many different application scenarios – from sports to music to documentary. The lens is compatible with all common film cameras like RED Raven, Panasonic VariCam LT or Sony FS7.
The ZEISS LWZ.3 especially draws on its strengths when only small budgets are available on set, the lens covers a range for which cameramen had to use up to six fixed focal lengths. Calibrated scales, consistent imaging quality across the entire image field, no vignetting and focus shift, the efficient reduction of reflections through the well-known ZEISS T*® anti reflective coating and the color matching with lenses of the Compact Prime CP.2 family complete the overall package.
On a bustling set you will definitely appreciate the cine-style ergonomics of the ZEISS LWZ.3. A rugged, splash-proof housing gives you enough freedom even in ambitious shooting conditions – both indoors and outdoors. Each ZEISS LWZ.3 has individually calibrated, smooth, continuously precise scale. The robust gears and fixed gear positions allow you to easily attach follow focus or wireless lens control systems.
The ZEISS LWZ.3 is equipped with an easy-to-operate, interchangeable mount system. It enables you to switch quickly from a typical cine-style PL-mount to four other mounts (Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, MFT). A truly great feature that promises a flexible and future-proof investment in today's rapidly developing camera market.

The film CIRCLE was shot entirely on a Sony PXW FS7 in the space of three days and with a very small crew of four people using one single lens. Special thanks to Cinematographer Adi Geissegger who showed what can be achieved with the ZEISS LWZ.3 21-100mm.
