The "Essential" models in the Zoom H-Series line of affordable, handheld audio recorders feature 32-bit DACs, as well as significantly easier operation for visually impaired users thanks to voice-guided menus (including English and German). Controls (buttons, rotary encoders) have also been optimized for quieter operation. In addition, the H4essential and H6essential models are compatible with the optional Bluetooth adapter BTA-1, e.g. for pairing with Timecode Systems' UltraSync BLUE timecode modules, or for remote control via iOS device (start recording, setup, visual control of recording); both are also equipped with a new, full-color LCD display. The top-of-the-line variant, the H6essential, offers an upgraded X/Y stereo microphone exchange module ("3.0 Capsule System"). On sale from 3/4 2024.
