This year's IBC 2016 in Amsterdam was not as rich in news as the previous years, but on the other hand, most of the presented news will be available in a very short time. Hopefully other brands will follow this trend and not announce new products sometimes even a year in advance.
Below we will briefly introduce the new products from Panasonic. Among the new products, among others, the new Panasonic AG-UX90 and AG-UX1804K cameras were presented .
Panasonic AG-UX90 and AG-UX180
Panasonic introduced two new camera models AG-UX90 and AG-UX180
. Both cameras are capable of 4K recording and have a large 1-inch sensor. But the most significant difference between these cameras is that the AG-UX90 has a 15x optical zoom and the widest has a 35mm focal length. When recording at 4K, it can record video up to 30p.The AG-UX180 has a 20x zoom and the widest focal length is 24mm and is capable of recording video in 4K at up to 60p. When recording in HD, it's up to 120p. Lens lens aperture starts at f/2.8, but isn't constant over the full zoom range. It ends at f/4.5. Both cameras use standard SD cards for recording. Since the cameras have two slots, you have multiple options for recording material. You can use RELAY recording, which records to one card and switches to the other when it fills up. Another recording option is simultaneous recording, where the same footage is recorded on both cards, or you can use dual recording, where one card records UHD footage and the other records HD footage. So you have both the HD recording and the UHD copy at the same time.
