Multi-protocol converter for motorized LX-ePed 2, LX-ePed 2 Studio and LX-ePed PRO.
Multi-protocol converter for motorized LX-ePed 2, LX-ePed 2 Studio and LX-ePed PRO.
Using the MPC-1 multi-protocol converter, the LX-ePed 2, LX-ePed 2 Studio and LX-ePed PRO bases can be controlled by PTZ controllers and the original LX-ePed PC APP, which offers various optional settings. This makes Libec electric bases more convenient and suitable for different shooting scenes. The MPC-1 also supports IP connectivity for remote control.
IP connectivity
The MPC-1 supports the following Internet protocols: XC (Canon), VISCA over IP (SONY), AW (Panasonic). This smart device allows the LX-ePed 2, LX-ePed 2 Studio and LX-ePed PRO to connect to IP over secure closed networks, such as VPN, for remote control. IP-compatible PTZ controllers can raise/lower the connected power bases using a joystick.
Serial communication
MPC-1 supports the following serial communications: NU (Canon), VISCA (SONY), AW (Panasonic). Compatible PTZ controllers can raise/lower the top post of the connected electrical base using the joystick.
Original control application for PC
The dedicated PC application"LX-ePed PC APP" offers even more optional settings, including adjusting the speed of the top column and precise preset positions. For serial communication, connect the MPC-1 directly to a PC using a USB cable. For IP connectivity, connect the MPC-1 to the Internet using a LAN cable.
Easy setup
Because the MPC-1 features an LCD monitor and easy-to-use buttons, various settings can be made using only the MPC-1, without the need for a computer or other devices. The setup page is clear and simple, allowing quick transition between protocols.
Stable power supply
The MPC-1 is designed to have its own power supply, rather than being powered by electrical outlets. This is because a separate power supply will provide a stable voltage for the MPC-1, ensuring a strong and stable connection.
V-mount battery power supply (optional)
The MPC-1 can be powered by the included AC adapter, but also by the optional"VM-12V" power adapter, which allows operation anywhere using a V-mount battery.
Emergency operation
If the included remote control for the power base is not available, the MPC-1 can be used as a remote control to raise/lower the top column of the attached power base.
Expected availability: from April 2025.
