QL40B tripod legs with Quick Lock system
Unlike conventional two-stage tripods with leg locks on the top and bottom, the QL40B offers a locking mechanism that allows for quick lock and release. Users can adjust the height of the tripod using the quick locks located only on the top of the legs, making height adjustment and set-up extremely quick and easy. The lack of a lock on the bottom of the tripod means less physical strain on the user, as there is no need to bend over to unlock.
With a weight of 2.6kg, the QL40B offers a load capacity of up to 40kg. In addition, it provides a maximum height of 181.9 cm - approximately 30 cm taller than the current RT30B model, making it even more suitable for a variety of shooting environments, including events and interviews. The QL40B also features an accessory port with 1/4" and 3/8" threads and a handle for easy transport.
Tripod kits based on the QL40B are then available. Interested parties can choose from kits with heads of several different load capacities and with either a bottom or center spacer. The manufacturer plans to ship the goods in April 2025.
Motorised bases for LX-ePed 2, LX-ePed 2 Studio and LX-ePed PRO PTZ cameras
Specifically designed for PTZ cameras, these bases feature a motorized center column, remote control for easy height adjustment, and either a bottom spacer (LX-ePed 2) or tripod casters (LX-ePed 2 Studio, LX-ePed PRO). Successors to the existing Libec LX-ePed now include position presets, support IP connectivity and serial communication when combined with the new optional MPC-1multi-protocol converter. With it, they can be controlled by PTZ controllers and the original PC application (LX-ePed PC APP), which offers various optional settings.
The new remote can store up to three preset positions and adds a lifting element to the pan, tilt and zoom functions. Another new feature is the clever AP-Xquick-release adapter, which makes attaching/detaching your camera safer, easier and faster. The LX-ePed 2 and LX-ePed 2 Studio models offer a load capacity of up to 10 kg. The LX-ePed 2 provides a maximum height of 250 cm, while the Studio version offers 264 cm.
The LX-ePed PRO model is an even more advanced version of the LX-ePed 2 / LX-ePed 2 Studio models with a higher load capacity, reduced noise during movements and high rigidity. The LX-ePed PRO can thus be used even under extreme shooting conditions. With a load capacity of 30 kg, this robust electric base can support configurations such as a PTZ camera with prompter, a combination of five PTZ cameras or a "REMO30" remote head combined with a handheld camera. This quiet electric base is also a great solution for music concerts and other filming locations where minimal noise is required. The LX-ePed PRO includes a T-bar, five AP-X adapters and a BL-100F adapter, reducing the need to purchase additional accessories.
The manufacturer plans to ship the product in April 2025.
