Grass Valley will introduce EDIUS 8.1 at IBC

Grass Valley will introduce EDIUS 8.1 at this year's IBC conference and exhibition. Due in October, this free update will feature official support for Windows 10, OpenFX plug-in compatibility, including Boris Continuum Complete, HitFilm and GenArts Sapphire collections, as well as the ability to handle more layers of DNxHD and ProRes material in real-time. The new Browser application, introduced in version 8.0, will be improved with support for RED file formats, relinking of offline clips, or the export of thumbnail snapshots. EDIUS 8.1 will also allow to save projects as templates. The EDIUS Workgroup edition will add better K2 platform integration with the ability to edit 4K files on a server and integration of PYXIS video recording and playback system from FairlightUS Inc. Attendees of IBC 2015 will get a sneak preview of the new update at booth 1.D11, Sept. 11--15 in Amsterdam.
