Internal M.2 SSDs can now also be used as network storage. You can now use internal M.2 flash memory as either cache storage or network storage. When used as network storage, the 10G Ethernet back port provides storage access for all computers on the network.

All four 12G-SDI video inputs can now be recorded separately on the HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR. At the same time, each recording channel stores media in its own folder, making file management easier.
In addition, metadata such as camera numbers can be individually configured via the touch screen - this feature is particularly important for replays. With the HyperDeck 8.5 update, HyperDeck Extreme becomes a practical and affordable tool for replay workflows in DaVinci Resolve.
