New firmware version 2.00 adds new features derived from Nikon's top-of-the-line cameras - the Nikon Z9 and Nikon Z6III. The update brings Nikon Imaging Cloud support for the ability to automatically transfer images to third-party cloud storage, automatic firmware updates and access to a wide range of image processing presets.
Zf users can now enjoy several new features including bird detection and tracking. In addition, a high-resolution zoom function has been introduced and other features have been expanded for improved usability when shooting with manual focus. Shooting with manual focus lenses, including classic NIKKOR F lenses, is now more intuitive than before. The magnified view can be easily ended by pressing the shutter button halfway. And a new feature also allows users to record the aperture value used during shooting.
Adobe will add support for the Nikon N-RAW video format to its video editing software, Premiere Pro, as part of a new version of the software scheduled for release in late 2025.
N-RAW is Nikon's high-quality RAW video format that provides users with a large amount of image data for a greater degree of freedom and flexibility in post-production. Adobe Premiere Pro is a popular video editing software that is widely used by professional filmmakers and cinematographers, and support for the N-RAW format opens up new possibilities for video and film production using Nikon cameras. N-RAW format support in Premiere Pro software will be implemented by adding Nikon N-RAW format support in the RED R3D SDK.
