Thypoch Simera 75mm f1.4 Leica M Mount

Thypoch introduces a new 75mm f/1.4 lens, bringing this classic portrait focal length to the Simera series. The latter is known for its 28mm, 35mm and 50mm f/1.4 full-frame lenses.

The Simera 75mm f/1.4 seamlessly integrates the signature design elements of the award-winning Simera series and the precision engineering of the 16-blade aperture and 8 elements in 9 groups from the Simera-C T1.5 Cine Primes. This lens produces beautifully rounded bokeh at any aperture setting, with minimal trace of onion rings, ensuring that the viewer's attention remains focused on the subject.

This new lens provides excellent sharpness across the entire image area, minimal chromatic aberration and accurate colour reproduction. The lens is also ideal for use with medium format cameras. Featuring 1 aspherical element, 2 ED lenses, 2 HRI lenses, the lens delivers characteristic rendering with smooth focus transitions and a strong sense of dimensionality.

The Simera 75mm f/1.4 ASPH. inherits unique depth of field indicators to help photographers know the DOF accurately. The lens offers switchable aperture control - in both click and non-click modes - to suit the varying needs of videographers and photographers.

Despite its outstanding performance, the Simera 75mm f/1.4 has a compact size (63.5mm length) and lightweight construction (371.8g), making it an ideal choice for street photography and portraiture. It provides photographers with the flexibility to easily capture subjects from a greater distance.
