Server TechRadar shines a light on the new Panasonic GH7 which earned an excellent score of 4.5/5 in a detailed review! The praise was earned by great video features including unlimited time recording, wide dynamic range, accurate and fast PD AF, very effective stabilization and image quality. In addition, the GH7 is finally in stock!

Panasonic resurrects compact travel superzoom LUMIX FZ80/FZ82. The new version is called "D" and offers an improved viewfinder (now OLED with a larger area and resolution) and LCD display; it also integrates Wi-Fi, the now mandated USB-C port and improved software features (e.g. Zoom Compose Assist). It retains the powerful integrated 20-1200mm f/2.8-5.9 (35mm eq.) zoom, 18.1MP 1/2.3" sensor, Power O.I.S. stabilization, UHD video up to 30p/25p to MP4 (max. 15 min.) or FHD up to 60p/50p to MP4/AVCHD respectively up to 1280x720 120/100 fps and 640x480 240/200 fps, 4K Photo, Post Focus and Focus Stacking ad. The wide-angle 60x zoom is ideal for travel, sports and nature photography (incl. macro) and thanks to its compact body dimensions (130.2x94.3x125.2 mm, 640 g incl. battery), it's just begging to be packed in your backpack on summer holidays! Panasonic has released firmware 3.0 for the LUMIX GH6, which - in addition to unspecified stability improvements - brings support for an optional software key DMW-SFU3A (ARRI LogC3), and a new audio module DMW-XLR2 (with the exception of 32-bit FP audio, this feature is only available on the new model GH7). The new FW can be downloaded here. Also new is the first version of the Lumix Lab app for iPhone/iPad (iOS 15-17) for color correction and LUT file creation. The first version is only compatible with LUMIX S9 and GH7, compatibility with S5M2/S5M2X a G9M2. More here.

It features a new25.2MP BSI CMOS sensor with high-speed readout and 13+ EV dynamic range (V-Log/V-Gamut), advanced AF algorithms incl. PDAF with target detection mode (human/animal/car/motorcycle/train/airplane), internal recording up to 5.7K Apple ProRes RAW HQ, 10-bit Open Gate 5.8K mode, 32-bit FP audio support (with new optional DMW-XLR2 accessory), high-speed video modes HFR 240 fps and VFR 300 fps, active cooling for continuous recording, anamorphic modes (5.8K/30p or 4.4K/60pm 10-bit), 5-axis dual stabilization (up to 7.5 EV), proxy video recording, and Frame support.io. An unexpected new feature is the new DMW-SFU3A optional license key that activates ARRI LogC3 color mode on the GH7 or GH6! On sale from the second half of July.
