Several new additions to Sony's line-up will be announced in mid-August, including the new ECM-M1 narrow directional microphone and the second generation 70-200 mm f/4 Macro G OSS telephoto zoom. The Sony ECM-M1 is a compact directional microphone with four microphone inserts and eight directional modes including stereo and both digital and analogue interfaces (MI) for wide compatibility with cameras. The Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 Macro G OSS II lens boasts a lightweight and compact design (149mm long, 0.8kg without tripod mount) over a wide focal range with constant f/4 aperture and FF sensor coverage. It now offers, among other things, up to 20% faster autofocus speed, including more reliable tracking of moving subjects even during zooming. Pre-sales of both new products have already started, with the first deliveries in the second half of August.
