New to the Zoom H-Series line of affordable, handheld audio recorders, now labeled "Essential", come in the form of 32-bit DACs, as well as much easier operation for visually impaired users thanks to voice-guided menus (including English and German). The controls (buttons, rotary encoders) have also been optimised for quieter operation. In addition, the H4essential and H6essential models are compatible with the optional Bluetooth adapter BTA-1, e.g. for pairing with Timecode Systems' UltraSync BLUE timecode modules, or for remote control via iOS device (start recording, setup, visual control of recording); both are also equipped with a new, full-color LCD display. The top-of-the-line variant, the H6essential, offers an upgraded X/Y stereo microphone exchange module ("3.0 Capsule System"). The new H1essential (2-track recording) and H4essential (4-track) recorders will be available around the end of the month, while the H6essential (6-track) model is already on sale...

New version of Blackmagic Camera 8.5.1 with improved model support Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is here! It brings direct upload to DaVinci Resolve projects, proxy recording for Blackmagic RAW and ProRes formats, reduced latency for SDI output, support for SRT streaming protocol, REST API, the ability to adjust the signal light color for Blackmagic URSA Studio Viewfinder monitors, and Blackmagic URSA Studio Viewfinder G2 and other new features. Since beta 8.5, connection stability has been improved using some Google Pixel phones, A/V synchronization has been improved for H.265 and H.264 codecs and SDI output, etc. Download here.

New operating system ("MOVNORM OS") for portKeys camera monitors LH7P, LH7H, PT6 a LH5P II (v3) introduces an improved user interface for faster and easier menu navigation, as well as a function to stretch the image (and output the deformed video over HDMI, e.g. for streaming) when shooting vertically. Support for remote camera control via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth has also been extended for the LH7P and LH5P II (v3) models: Canon EOS R5/R6/R6 Mark II/R8, Panasonic BGH1/BS1H, Sony A7M IV and Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 4.6K. MOVNORM OS also offers a number of new features for controlling Sony cameras, including the ability to display the status of the recording media, as well as the ability to assign camera functions (ISO, shutter speed, aperture, etc.) to user buttons on the monitor.
