Panasonic LUMIX S 100mm f/2.8 Macro (S-E100) is a new, miniature and ultra-lightweight macro lens from the LUMIX S series that shares its size, control layout and colour rendering with the 18, 24, 35, 50 and 85mm f/1.8 models . It is currently the smallest and lightest macro lens on the market (FF AF lenses with 1:1 magnification and focal lengths larger than 90 mm)! Of course, high image quality with a design using a trio of aspherical lenses and one each of UED and ED elements; high weather resistance; and excellent performance even for video shooting (quiet and powerful AF motor; suppressed breathing)... At the end of the previous year, Panasonic introduced new firmware for mirrorless cameras DC-S5M2 (2.3), DC-S5M2X (1.4), DC-GH6 (2.5) a DC-G9M2 (2.0). For the S5M2/S5M2X, memory card compatibility has been improved and image defects in SH Burst Shot (JPEG) shooting have been corrected. The same fixes have also been applied to the LUMIX G, with the G9M2 implementing 12-bit RAW recording over HDMI via Atomos external recorders (Ninja V/V+, Ninja/Ninja Ultra, Shogun/Shogun Ultra, Shogun Connect; to Apple ProRes RAW) and Blackmagic Design (Video Assist 5" 12G HDR and 7" 12G HDR; to Blackmagic RAW). Panasonic has unveiled an upgraded "D" version of the LUMIX G100 mini MFT mirrorless camera for vlogging and reportage. The new model brings, among other things, a 2.4MP OLED viewfinder and a USB-C interface that allows easy charging of the device's battery. Also featured are a large 20.3MP MOS sensor, 5-axis hybrid image stabilization, a large tilting touchscreen, V-Log L mode (12 EV dynamic range), Bluetooth 4.2 / Wi-Fi support, etc. The G100D is offered in kits with a 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 lens (G100DK), with 12-32 mm lens and handle/mini tripod SHGR2 (G100DV) and in the set G100DW with a pair of lenses (12-32 mm and 35-100 mm f/4-5.6).
